The Legend of the Chirisbinos and the Northern Mists

"Beyond the known kingdoms, beyond the sacred lines of men and gods, where the forests breathe and the mists whisper names forgotten by history, the Chirisbinos walked... And their footsteps were like echoes dissolving into silence."

The Origin of the Chirisbinos

Long before the fall of Camelot, before Arthur raised Excalibur from the lake, before the Norns wove the destinies of men in the North... there was already a cult that did not worship gods or kings, but the Sacred Interval Between Words.

They were called the Chirisbinos and Chirisbinas.

Not sorcerers. Not druids. Not monks.

But Guardians of Intention.

Their faith was simple and light, yet incomprehensible to those who sought power or control.

The Forbidden Dogmas of the Chirisbinos

Unlike dark cults of blood and shadow, the Chirisbinos cultivated noble and dignified values.

Their dogmas, however, were seen as heresy by kings and churches alike:

  1. The Silence Before the Word is Holier than the Word Itself.

  2. The Intention Hidden in the Gaze Carries More Power than a Thousand Prayers.

  3. No Path Should Be Taken Without First Honoring the Unknown That Surrounds It.

  4. Every Step Must Be Preceded by Gratitude for the Ground that Bears It.

  5. The Names of the Ancients Must Be Whispered Only in the Hours of Mist.

  6. Words of Healing Must Never Be Spoken for Glory.

  7. No Knowledge Should Be Shared Without First Knowing the Silence of the Receiver.

The First Great Ritual: The Rite of the Quiet Horizon

The first great ritual, known as the “Rite of the Quiet Horizon”, was not a spectacle of fire or blood.

At dawn, on the highest point of the Giant’s Causeway, Northern Ireland, the Chirisbinos gathered facing the sea.

They stood in silence for seven intervals between seven breaths.

Each Chirisbino, with eyes closed, imagined a single, luminous word in their mind... and let it dissolve like mist.

This was the Rite:
To let the word be born, live, and die...
Without ever being spoken.

Persecution by the Church: The Shadows of the Counter-Reformation

As centuries passed, the Chirisbinos remained hidden.

However, during the Counter-Reformation in Europe (1545–1648), the Catholic Church, driven by fear of silent faiths and invisible cults, began to hunt them down.

Pope Paul III issued secret orders to identify "groups that worship the void between thoughts."

In regions like Lombardy, Brittany, and Tyrol, small Chirisbino circles were dismantled.

Their books burned.

Their symbols—three simple lines representing Earth, Mist, and Intention—were erased from stone.

But the Chirisbinos adapted.

Their rituals became even more discreet.

Their dogmas turned into songs, embroidery, and anonymous poems.

The Secret Refuges: Europe’s Hidden Mists

The Chirisbinos found shelter in places where the veil between worlds was thinner:

  • The Caves of Auvergne (France)

  • The Fens of East Anglia (England)

  • The Black Forest (Germany)

  • The Brocéliande Forest (Brittany)

  • The Islands of Skye and Mull (Scotland)

  • And along the forgotten trails of the Norwegian fjords

In each of these places, a Chirisbino or Chirisbina preserved fragments of the ancient rituals.

Some disguised themselves as herbalists, others as philosophers, others as wandering musicians.

Armand de Veyrac: The Last Echo Before the Crossing

One of the most emblematic Chirisbinos of this era was Armand de Veyrac, born in Clermont-Ferrand, France, in 1623.

He led a discreet revival of the cult in Lyon, through the Circle of the Mist Watchers.

His attempt to spread the rite during the height of Jesuit surveillance led to arrests, burnings, and forced exiles.

But before disappearing, Armand wrote a coded manuscript, the "Veyrac Mist Codex", rumored to contain maps and rituals that would guide the surviving Chirisbinos across the Atlantic.

The Northern Mists Fade... But the Path Continues

Some say that even today, when the mist thickens over certain fields in Brittany, Scotland, or the Black Forest,
If you remain silent long enough…
You can still feel the intention lingering in the air.

The Chirisbinos never vanished.
They just learned to walk in ways that no eye could see…
And no ear could hear.
