Secret Refuges of the Chirisbinos During the Great Persecution

“Where maps end, we begin. Where human eyes see only stone and moss, we open portals of silence.”

(Fragment from a scroll recovered in Auvergne, 1682)

  1. The Caves of Auvergne – France
📍 Real Location: Volcanic region of France, known for rocky formations and natural caves.

Chirisbino Use:
During the height of the French Inquisition, many Chirisbinos took refuge in hard-to-reach caves in the Auvergne region, near Mont-Dore and Puy de Dôme.

Legend:
It is said the walls of these caves are marked with wind symbols that only reveal themselves with morning dew or under a specific moon position.

Historical Curiosity:
Even today, there are abandoned trails in the region known as the “Paths of Silence.”

  1. The Underground Tunnels of Évora – Portugal
📍 Real Location: The city of Évora has records of Roman tunnels and underground galleries.

Chirisbino Use:
Fleeing the Portuguese Inquisition, some Chirisbinos hid in galleries beneath the city. There, they performed small Mist Rituals using herbs from the Alentejo region.

Legend:
There are rumors that certain tunnel walls echo voices when the word “Chirisbin” is whispered three times.

Historical Curiosity:
Several tunnels in Évora remain closed to the public today, officially due to risk of collapse.

  1. The Forests of Brocéliande – Brittany, France
📍 Real Location: Associated with Arthurian legend, especially the stories of Merlin and the Lady of the Lake.

Chirisbino Use:
Chirisbinos used the existing mysticism in the region as a smoke screen. They mixed their own rites with popular tales about the Mists of Avalon and Merlin, creating a perfect disguise.

Legend:
It is said there is a clearing where, if one remains in absolute silence for seven minutes, they will hear echoes of ancient Chirisbino chants.

  1. The Catacombs of Palermo – Sicily, Italy
📍 Real Location: Capuchin Catacombs, with hundreds of mummified bodies.

Chirisbino Use:
Under the watchful eye of the Church, Chirisbinos infiltrated the Capuchins and used hidden chambers within the catacombs to store manuscripts, artifacts, and even perform secret ceremonies.

Legend:
There are reports that a niche hidden behind a false wall still guards “The Book of Mist,” a Chirisbino codex never deciphered.

  1. The Abandoned Mines of Potosí – Bolivia
📍 Real Location: One of the largest silver mines in the world during Spanish rule.

Chirisbino Use:
Chirisbinos who managed to board ships to the New World with Spanish explorers (many as slaves or servants) found in the mines an opportunity to hide among indigenous peoples and Africans.

Legend:
It is said that in the deepest galleries, some miners heard prayers in languages they could never identify—possibly fragments of ancient Chirisbino litanies.

  1. The Hebrides Islands – Scotland
📍 Real Location: An isolated and sparsely inhabited archipelago.

Chirisbino Use:
Small groups of exiled Chirisbinos hid among local fishermen. Over time, they fused their practices with the Celtic folklore of the region.

Legend:
Old residents still speak of “People of the Mist,” who appeared on deserted islands, performed dawn rites, and vanished before noon.

  1. The Jesuit Missions of Brazil (Region of the Missions – RS)
📍 Real Location: Jesuit Missions on the border of Brazil, Argentina, and Paraguay.

Chirisbino Use:
Some Chirisbinos who came on Portuguese ships to Brazil infiltrated Jesuit reductions. There, they took advantage of the distance from Rome to preserve part of their oral knowledge.

Legend:
There are reports of Guarani songs with words that do not belong to the indigenous language. Researchers call this “Fragments of Intrusive Vocabulary,” which some claim have Chirisbino origin.

🌿 Secret Symbol of the Refuges
All refuges had, in some way, a mark:
Three interlaced circles, recalling the cycle of earth, mist, and intention (reference to the First Great Ritual).
This mark was always made discreetly:
Engraved under stones, hidden among plant drawings, or disguised as stonemasons’ marks.
